There is much more to a Marco Island vacation than just sun and sand. One the sunset disappears underneath the horizon, Marco’s nighttime entertainment scene is heating up.

October 2018 marks the re-opening of The Marco Players Theater, Marco Island’s very own intimate black-box theater experience. The Marco Players Theater, the oldest not-for-profit community theater on Marco island, aims to provide residents and visitors with professional, high-energy theater and music experiences.

Without a bad seat in the house, The Marco Players Theater kicks off their 2019 season with a performance of Rehearsal for Murder, a thrilling theatrical murder mystery. Adapted by D.D. Brooke from the teleplay by Richard Levinson and William Link, humorous tension grows when the audience discovers that everyone involved in the play was involved with another play one year ago in which a mysterious murder occurred. Surprising revelations build to a climax and solution that are theatrically stunning. Rehearsal for Murder hits the stage from October 24- Novemeber 11th.

Can’t make it for an evening show? The Marco Players also offer “the Lunch Box” shows every Saturday and even includes a box lunch during the performance. The first lunch box show, Storytellers of the Round Table, occurs on January 5, 2019. This is a one show only performance.

Attendees will be enthralled by three storytellers who have mastered the art of storytelling. Enjoy engaging tales from personal stories, folk tale pricess, fables, fairy tales and fractured tales. This show includes a box lunch and Q&A with storytellers Rhonda Brazina, Tashahara Jallad and Mary Lou Williams.
